Betaine hydrochloride is a source of hydrochloric acid, which promotes optimal gastric acidity to support protein digestion and absorption of minerals and other nutrients* This compound provides a supplemental source of hydrochloric acid, an acidifying compound normally produced by the stomach during digestion of foods.
