Mastic gum is a unique resin which comes from a tree common to Mediterranean climates. (Pistacia lentiscus) The resin has a long history of use to support digestive health and recent studies have found it to be effective in supporting oral and liver health as well. The exact active ingredients responsible for these effects remain unknown as mastic gum contains numerous beneficial compounds and are especially rich in antioxidants.
